Wow has time gotten away from me! I don’t even know where it goes on some days. I have been busy that is for sure. Not just with my projects but with my sister. It’s a new venture with her that has taken up an incredible amount of time. I have been sitting behind a sewing machine for weeks and weeks. For someone who hasn’t sewn for many years this has been a challenge and an adventure. None the less it has been really fun.
In between all the sewing I did manage to get all of my class samples finished and delivered to the stores for some upcoming classes. Be sure to stop in and check them out, there’s some fun new work that I think you will like. Some of it is in the slide show to the right.
Summer is going by so quickly but I have been enjoying some of the wonderful days of sunshine. The studio has gotten a bit warm on a few days. I try to leave the overhead fan on all the time. My studio as a south facing wall of solid window! It can get quite warm. Soon I am going to have my friend Don, come over to the studio and we are going to add some peg board all along that wall. I did it in my smaller studio and it dropped the temperature in a matter of minutes. I expect it will do the same in the bigger room. Besides it allows me to leave the shades up. I get more light and plenty of privacy.
I’m working with my friend Michael Putman to update the look of this blog. We are going to change the face of it completely. I can’t wait! It’s going to be great. You’ll have to let me know what you think. My schedule is complete through September though I do need to make the samples for that month. I hope to get started on them tomorrow. I would like to get them out of the way. In the works will be a class or two at Stampadoodle in Bellingham. I am very excited about heading north. Classes are still a bit slow but they seem to be picking up again. This makes me happy! Hoping that the trend continues in a positive direction. I sent samples off to Graphic 45 of projects that I did with their papers. They will be in their booth at CHA! Woo hoo! They have the most beautiful booth in the world. I am honored that they will be including my work. Well it’s time to sit back and relax. I hope you are doing the same. What ever you do, make sure you enjoy the view from your window seat…
